Install as administrator under 2000?

    How does one do that aside from the obvious of log out as user and in as
    administrator?
    Is there a sudo type facility one can set up?

    Hold down the shift key, right click on the icon, choose runas...
    otherwise, from the command line, type runas, and follow the directions.
    maybe try runas /?
