iiNet wins!

  1. If you remember, this was the Aussie ISP sued by Big Content over not doing
enough to kick off alleged unauthorized filesharers on its network. When it
received accusations about such activities, it kept passing them on to the
police. After all, if what these people are doing is “theftâ€, then that’s a
criminal matter, which should be dealt with by the police right?

  2. Quote from the judge <http://robertcorr.com/2010/02/afact-v-iinet/>:

As an aside, the Court notes that AFACT, the organisation which the
applicants use to aid in enforcement of their copyright, itself blurs
the distinction between tortous copyright infringement and criminal
acts involving copyright, as seen in its name: Australian Federation
    Against Copyright Theft.

Copying is not “theftâ€. Call it that and have your knuckles rapped by a
    judge.
