IBM developer needing advice - confused on .NET 2.0 --> 3.0 / moss

Discussion in 'Microsoft Certification' started by =?Utf-8?B?RG9taW5v?=, Feb 10, 2007.

  1. I have all the highest level certifications in IBM and am an IBM Certified
Advanced Developer in Lotus Notes as well as web/domino and javascript. We
are looking at doing more projects in MOSS and .NET 3.0 and I would like to
focus on a certification for this.

However the only program out is for .NET 2.0, I was going to focus on the
MCPD Web Developer. However will this be a total loss when the 3.0 tests
come out? Will there be an upgrade for the MCPD to 3.0? I find it ironic
that the training guides just came out within the last few months for MCPD in
2.0 while we are already planning on using 3.0. Any advice?

Also any tips or training programs you could recommend to help a Notes
developer with 10+ years experience come up to speed in MOSS / VS.NET / etc
would be greatly appreciated. I've done a little Java programming as well as
a lot of web dev in HTML / DHTML / Javascript so I don't think the transition
will be too bad especially since Lotuscript is syntax is 90% the same as
    VB.NET.
