http address

    have inspiron 2200 notebook. use outlook express, service pack 2, IE 7 and notron's and trend microcillin. cannot connect to internet. cannot get "http" addresses. able to get "https" addresses. can anyone help?

    Does Norton or Trend have a firewall setup on your computer? There may have been a rule accidentally setup to prevent you from viewing the http protocol (port 80).

    Also, if you have both Norton and Trend on your computer you will need to make sure that they are not scanning each other's folders. Otherwise you will constantly get false hits, thereby causing the original program to quarantine the other and neither program may work.
