I installed a HP Photosmart Printer on a HP Pavilion 525C. The software
installs perfect and it prints perfectly, but if the printer is connected to
the computer it will not reboot if you restart or turn off the computer it
will hang on the blue HP Logo Screen. You must disconnect the power to the
computer and then plug it back in , then it will reboot. If you disconnect
the printer from the USB port before turning the computer off or restarting
it will boot fine. I have tried the printer on my older home built computer
and it works fine on rebooting. I also hooked a HP Deskjet 842C to the
Pavilion and it worked fine. I have downloaded updated drivers for the
printer and followed the install install instructions exactly. Any one got
any ideas what's going on. I am running WinXP on a AMD Athalon XP 2600
    with 512 MB Ram.

    Thanks,
    Robert
