How VOB prohitibed user operations differ from IFO PUOs

Discussion in 'DVD Video' started by B. Rubenstein, Aug 20, 2005.

  1. How do VOB PUOs differ from IFO PUOs?
    Why not remove them all?

An example, I think, of an IFO PUO would be not being able to skip past a
video trailer clip. What would be an example of a VOB PUO?

When we need to be aggressive, it is often recommended to set DVD Decrypter
to remove IFO PUOs but not VOB PUOs.
WHy not remove all of them?

If this has already been answered let me know as I googled using:
    Prohibited User Operations VOB IFO
All I found was the fact there are no downsides to removing them.

But how do VOB PUOs differ from IFO PUOs & why set DVD Decrypter to only
    remove IFO PUOs?
