How to get rid of spam messages, esp those with title "Microsoft
Security Update" or "Network Update" etc? I use filter, block but they
change email addresses and continue to blow away my email account
    space.

    From Ron Martell:

    Ron Martell's Message Rules:

Where the message body contains 'This is the qmail program'
    or 'Undelivered message to'
or 'I'm sorry to have to inform you that I wasn't able to deliver your
    message'
or 'I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message'
    or 'Undeliverable mail to'
    or 'all known security vulnerabilities'
or 'Undelivered mail to' or 'Undeliverable message to'
or 'I'm sorry I wasn't able to deliver your message'
    or 'Undeliverable to'
or 'I'm afraid the message returned below'
    or 'Undelivered to'
or 'An e-mail delivered to you contained a virus'
    Delete it
    and Stop processing more rules

You are dealing with a virus and you may very well have it given your
other problem about having trouble with your display. I would go to
www.grisoft.com and download a copy of their anti-virus software. I
would run the software and get rid of any virus you have in your
machine. The reason you are getting the Microsoft and other spam is
that someone you know has the swen virus and has you on their list.
Do not open any mail attachments from Microsoft! If it does turn out
you have the virus, tell all your email buddies to clean their
machines with anti virus software too. Read back over this newsgroup
for a week or two to see all the people infected with this virus. I
dont know when it came out but I got the emails starting on me a week
ago. Just clear away the daily email unless you have loads of time to
    go through it all.

The best advice is to leave your address book blank.
