The problem I'm having is that after setting the sound hardware
performance tab to NONE control panel - after a reboot of the system,
it goes back to full the next time I look at it. Is there way to
    force this setting to stay?

    RealTec AC97 Audio card

    Windows 98SE

    Thanks,
