How to extract msp files manually?

    I am trying to extract an msp file manually in x64. But somehow i cant get
    it working in the prompt window.I tried following string i found on the web:

    msiexec.exe /Xp:c:\test\windowsinstaller.msp

    it doesnt wok, otherwise i wouldnt posting :)
