    can someone help me

how to configure secondary-ip on extreme switch ( Blackdiamond ) - ver 6.2.2

    I tried following method

    * MSM64:195 # config vlan "Default" add secondary-ip 192.,168.2.1
    255.255.255.0
ERROR: Cannot configure secondary address with non-32-bits netmask

    thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    try:

    config vlan "Default" add secondary-ip 192.168.2.1 255.255.255.0

maybe this helps, you had some typo in there...

This is a Cisco newsgroup, and the devices are pretty different.

    :I tried following method

    :* MSM64:195 # config vlan "Default" add secondary-ip 192.,168.2.1 255.255.255.0
:ERROR: Cannot configure secondary address with non-32-bits netmask

If this were a Cisco device being discussed, I would figure that
interface is set as a point-to-point link. But this isn't a Cisco
device, so instead I will refer you to Extreme's documentatation,

    http://www.extremenetworks.com/services/documentation/ExtremeWareUser622-Chapter16.asp

In the section on IP Multinetting, it says in part,

o The VLAN "default" should not be used for multinetting.
