    Are you designing a web page? What is the URL to your best effort?
    Have you tested it for validity yet?

    Questions about web page design would be best posted in a group for the
    purpose, such as alt.html

    Fairly easy to do. It's assumed

    You are talking about a webpage,
    Don't know about CSS,
    Haven't tried the newsgroup alt.html,
    Not taken a web design course,

    Some of those assumptions may be false as there is no URL pointing to
    any example of your problem.

    Perhaps you should also try,

    The different local communities offer several ways to get in touch with
    experienced users. In English, several resources are at your disposal:

    * Firefox support Newsgroup mozilla.support.firefox
    * Thunderbird support Newsgroup mozilla.support.thunderbird
    * Mozillazine User Support Web Forums
