How to access the service menu for Panasonic DVD-RP91?

My player has recently developed a problem with playing some discs, showing
the "no disc" error on [mostly] newer purchased discs [red dwarf, ed wood,
etc.] I'd like to take a crack at the service menu to see if a reset or
other options can correct it. Can someone please post some helpful
instructions or point me to a website where I can find this info?

    Thanks,

I would like the same information please for my Philips 623 which has
the annoying habit of inserting unwanted gaps between tracks on CDs,
gaps which are not there when the CDs are played on a CD player.
