I thought this was a useful program - I used it to get
into a PC of somebody who died. So easy, it got me anxious.
I work in an office of about 70 people, some of whom are
    less than trustworthy.
I installed Mandriva on my own Windows workstation. Now
kon-boot did not seem to work with this particular distro.
And since Windows was down the boot chain, kon-boot did
    not fiddle that either.

If you boot with a live cd .. e.g Ubuntu live cd .. you can access all the
user files anyway .. no need for kon-boot .. Not sure how it would work on
user files held on a server.
