How do I upgrade my cpu?

Discussion in 'Windows 64bit' started by =?Utf-8?B?RXJuc3Q=?=, Jan 7, 2006.

  1. Is it possible to upgrade the cpu without complete reinstallation?
    (x64 installation is a nightmare!)

Yes. I've just gone from a 3500+ to 4400+ and apart from a prompt to
default then resetting simple bits in the BIOS, Windows "found" the new
CPU and loaded the drivers for it.
