how do I have flash playing on request only?

    hello,
    I just started using firefox. I thought that one of the advantages of
    firefox is that it won't play flash animations on webpage unless I
    specifically allow it? I think I saw a screenshot where there were
    just big blank boxes where the animations weould otherwise be and the
    user would just click on the box to enable to flash animation to play.

    How do i set that up?

    go to mozilla.org and browse the available extensions, you should be able
    to find one that serves you well.

    There is an extension called FlashBlock you might want to check out:
