Hosting Domains on Live

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Waylon Kenning, Feb 12, 2006.

  1. http://domains.live.com/ have a beta going on at the moment that
allows them to host your email through the hotmail interface. Since
we're in New Zealand, there's still the 2MB Inbox limit, but now you
can have access to your own domain's emails through hotmail. This I
found pretty cool (especially if people are already used to the
    interface).

It's a pretty simple experience to set up, just add a new MX record,
delete your old ones, and add a text record with some custom info, and
it's done. You can have up to 60 email accounts with your domain and I
each email is it's own MSN Passport, so you can sign into MSN
Messenger with them, MSN Spaces etc...

I also hear Google's doing something similar, but it's a closed beta
    from what I've heard.
