Home WiFi nework security

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Douglas C. Neidermeyer, Sep 5, 2006.

  1. Got a 4-computer home wireless network using WPA2 security (SSID broadcast
off, MAC filtering enabled, really lengthy password) and I want to add a
device that only has WPA security.

If I degrade my overall network security from WPA2 to WPA to accommodate it,
am I increasing my risk enough to realistically worry about? Or is it more
    of a theoretical/academic loss?
