High-readability font... anyone recall the story in the Herald

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Peter Jenkins, May 28, 2004.

  1. A couple of months back there was a story in the Herald about some
local outfit that had developed or was developing a high-readability
font, suitable for the vision impaired etc.

I now can't find the story, and can't remember the name of the font...
anyone recall this? I've had a dig around in Google, no joy.

I thought Adobe's "Lucida" font family was developed for similar
purposes--to maintain maximum readability after being mangled by fax
    machines etc. (Hence the name...)

Thanks, that's the sort of thing I was looking for. Not the exact thing, but
    definitely useful.
