high CPU utilization

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by Miguel Moreno, Jan 28, 2004.

  1. I have a Cisco 10k and see high cpu utilization due to high ARP Input
processing. What do you recommend to do?

    Thanks everyone

    possible cause ?
such as ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 ethernet 0

find out why you have so much ARP traffic

large amounts of ARP from scanning sequential addresses is 1 symptom of
ms-blast and / or its cousins being active on your network
