I have a setup involving 3 hard disks and one dvd drive. My primary OS drive and secondary hard drive are on ide channel 1, with the dvd and third hard drive on ide channel 2

What should the jumper settings be for the dvd and third HD? If the general rules apply, Master should be the drive at the topmost connection (That would be my DVD), while the slave would be the middle ide connection (third HD). But, would those jumper settings interfere with the primary drives on IDE channel 1?

    Thanks for your help.

No, but there may be a speed penalty when accessing HDD #3
The layout you suggest is the best without involving extra IDE driver cards
    :)
