Try asking in one of these groups:-

    alt.html
    alt.www.webmaster

    http://htmldog.com/

But an online search for "+html +tutorial" will find LOTS of sites. Of
course, you could just start digging into the HTML specification at
http://www.w3.org. I don't remember if they have tutorials since drowning
in reference docs is usually not the best way for a beginner to start.

HTML is dead simple. It's designed to be that way. It was invented at
CERN BTW. You know the place that wants to destroy the earth in a mini
    black hole?

    http://www.w3schools.com/html/

Found by a simple addressline search for "html tutorial". Hardly rocket
    science or nuclear physics.
