Here's the scenerio of my network when I implement the new proxy server,

    Office HQ-----Router-----Office A----ISA server---ADSL Modem---Internet

Office HQ is connected with Office Branch A with FR, there's none of access
list in the router. so I can ping to each machine in the Office A, and vice
    versa.

then I wanna implement a proxy server(ISA server) in Office A and let all
the users in Office HQ and A can access the internet by this proxy server.

Each time when the PPoe is up and all the users in Office A can access the
internet but users in Office HQ can not, even we in HQ cannot ping to this
    server.

but when I let guys in Office A close the PPoe, then I can ping to this
    server again.

I know that's the default gw issue since when the PPoe is up, then ADSL will
assign a dynamic IP and gw to this External port , so all the data will pass
through is default gw. but even when I assign a static IP to the internal
NIC and set the Default gw to the router(FR), Office HQ cannot ping to this
    server still.

Yep. Chances are you can reach them, but they cannot reach BACK to you...
The default gatway of the PCS in office A is probably pointing to the ISA
    server.

You probably need (a) route(s) in the ISA server pointing to office HQ for
all the subets at office HQ or the PCs in office A need to use the router
in Office A as the default route, where the default route (inertent) points
    back to the ISA server.

Check the routes on the PCs, the ISA server, and the routers.

Sounds like the routes are not right on the ISA server.

The default gateway probably gets overwritten when the link comes up. So,
put in explicit static routes for all of the subnets at office HQ, and the
    default network issue goes away.

On the isa server go to a dos prompt and do a route add. For example, if
the hq office is 192.168.0.x and the office a is 192.168.1.x and has the
router at 192.168.1.1, do the following.

    route add 192.168.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.1 -p

Since this is a more specific route, it will overpower the default route
being inserted by the pppoe dialer.

Thanks for all your reply, now the problem was solvled by add a static route
    in the ISA server.

it's more easy to add the static route in the 'route and remote access'
configuration page in Win2000 server, in the 'IP routing'--->'Static route'
page, adding the static route and it worked.

sorry for so late reply since after I packed with WinXP SP2, then my OE
didn't work. but later I called Microsoft 800 for help, then according their
help, run a SFC /scannow in Start-->Run, then OE come back to work now.
