I would like to setup two profiles that have different
network protocols. One profile would be for when the
laptop is in the office and other for when not. The
office profile would need TCPIP and the out of office
would need IPX. Is this possible?

Windows XP has that already available.. Why don't you set
    up 2 hardware profiles?

    I can create the profiles.

Do I need to be disconnected from the network to create
    the IPX version?

I am looking to create a profile for Office and TCPIP and
    when out of the
    office using IPX.
