Graphics card problems?

I have a Gladiax MX G-Force 32 MB graphics card on my Windows 98 SE PC
and I'm wondering if the card is dying.

Today, my PC froze. Upon reboot, the graphics settings reverted back
to low resolution. It was as if the driver was no longer active.
Furthermore, I couldn't reload the driver. I got an error when I
    tried.

Because I always backup my system, I restored to a previous version of
my Windows directory and rebooted to find resolve the problem.

This made me wonder if the problem wasn't simply a driver or Windows
    directory corruption.

However, later today, my PC's screen froze in a strange display mode.
Upon reboot, everything was fine again.

    Any suggestions?
