Google’s Chromebook Model Number

  1. Google is calling its device the “Cr-48â€. “Cr†is the chemical symbol for
    chromium, which means 48 must be the atomic weight. Looking among the
    isotopes of chromium <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isotopes_of_chromium>,
    Cr-48 is radioactive with a half-life about 22 hours.

    I suppose that’s to indicate it’s a testing-only product with a limited
    lifetime. :)
