Going through hell to pass 70-292

Discussion in 'MCSE' started by Bruno Nóbrega, Feb 20, 2007.

  1. Yall,

I am having a really hard time to pass the exam 70-292. I took it the first
time, and failed, not a problem, was not ready, I knew it. However, when
back home I studied hard, I am using the Self-Paced Training Kit and have
read and practiced all the modules for exam 292, however, failed again last
friday, really a surprise, since I had the impression that I was doing
    pretty good during the test.

One subject that I noticed that the book does not cover as it is asked in
the exam is managing audit events. Like the differences and how you will
    collect the information afterwards.

I had some doubts before retaking the test about conditional forwarding,
stub zones and some other subjects, you guys here were very helpful and I
got to clarify most of my doubts here.

Anyway, will get back to the book and retake the exam now, when I am sure
    that I will pass!

    Thank yall!!

    Bruno

If you guys have used different books and felt it was really helpful, please
let me know, I guess the Self-Paced itself will not be enough!!

Even the book you're reading has recommendations for additional reading,
mostly online. Most people get a second book as well. Hands-on
    practice is a must.

Don't feel too bad Bruno. I tanked that exam twice before passing it.
Study hard, read lots, practice, and don't forget your juju!

  5. The way to go is brute force training..I took a two week MCSE accelerated
training class and passed each test the first time around. Must of it you
know, you learn some new stuff, you must study hard and you will pass. They
pretty much tell you what you really need to concentrate on for the exams!

Downside is the cost - about $6000 - $9000 depending on the deal you
get...but hey my company paid for it!
