Free broadband

  1. Hi guys
remember the buzz when the UK had free dialup?
Today, carphone warehouse launched a package, £11 for a line, £9.99
for the calling package which is free calls in the UK and to 27
    countries including nz. and...
    free broadband.
Yerr, I thought, probably be 1 meg with a 1 gig cap...
    well its 8 meg/sec with a 40 gig cap!

So I await to see how BT will respond, I currently pay £17 for 2 meg
    /sec and 2 gig cap.
I'm expecting the speed to go up to 8 megs/sec as they have been
advertising that exchanges have been upgraded to support 8 meg /sec

    cheers
