a client of ours is running microsoft foxpro on a 2008 server machine.
they normally access the program from 3 terminals but this morning when
they try and run the program, it comes up with the error, "entry to
sales manager is not allowed. backup in progress"
the backup process is normally quick. ive left it like this for a couple
    of hours but nothing happens.
tried to run the program from the server but it does the same thing.
rebooted all machines+ did windows update on server but still no go.

Hopefully, you actually made sure it wasn't running a backup when you
    rebooted.

From your description, it isn't FoxPro itself you have the problem with,
but an application written in FoxPro. There is no "sales manager" in the
development application known as Visual FoxPro. Do you have an IT
    department?
