When I set my folder view options in MY MUSIC to DETAILS it keeps changing
back to LIST or even THUMBNAILS whenever I close the folder, then open it
    again.........

How can I make them stay the way I want them?

Open your registry to the following two keys, and delete them:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags

Reboot and reset the folder preferences.

Hey, if you don't want to do it, don't.

I wouldn't have said to do it, if I wasn't sure.
