I am using the LG DL drive, used Verbatum DL DVD+R media.

My sony home dvd unit (1yr old) says the disc is dirty after the opening
    menu.

Playing on the computer does work, but skipping ahead does not always work.
I am using the latest firmware on the drive.

I'm waiting until they get the bugs worked out of dual layer to try it. Now
you have a $15 coaster. Sucks don't it?
