I bought an ADS Dual Link External Drive Case the connects via USB 2.0 or
FireWire. I put an older 10gb hard drive(3-4 years old) in the case. This
works fine via USB, but when I connect the drive via FireWire, the PC does
nothing and never sees the drive. I know it's not the PC. I have used the
FireWire ports with other devices with no problems. The FireWire port shows
up in device magr. Also, I have a laptop with FireWire support, and the
external drive does not work with it either when connect via FireWire. Could
this be because of the older hard drive? Any ideas? BTW, I'm using WinXP
    Pro.

    Thanks
