firewalls and wireless

Discussion in 'Wireless Networking' started by =?Utf-8?B?a2luZw==?=, Aug 3, 2004.

  1. I have a firewall installed on my laptop, and I am able to access shared folders other computers and take over the computers using remote desktop. I am however, unable to access my laptop's folders or take it over with my other comouters. Is there anyway to be able to keep my firewall up and still be able to access my wireless laptop?
If so, how could i go about accessing my laptop from my computer at work?

    Hi.
Most Firewall has a setting that allows you to exclude computers (IPs) form
the Firewall Rules (some program call it trusted zone).

Find the configuration menu in your Firewall and excludes the Laptop IP
form the Firewall Internal (LAN) rules
