Firefox BUG..

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by The GHOST of WOGER., Jul 6, 2004.

  1. You just can't set the Bookmarks to sort by Name, if you use the Bookmark
    manager it works, but after you exit, the Bookmarks are back to random
    order..

    Any know how to fix this..?

    These are Imported IE6 Favorites..

    I'll agree here, in so far that the bookmark list is not altered by a sort
    in the book mark mamager. The list in the bookmark manager does stay
    sorted.

    So, if this is a problem to you then, hop on over to mozilla.org and check
    out if this is known, if not add it to the list.

    Bugs exposed in Open Source Software do get attention.

    Of course one could get the code and find out why this is happening, find
    a fix and then tell mozilla.org about the fix.

    http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/sortbookmarks

    a bit off topic but firefox 0.9 crashed earlier for some reason and it
    came up with a dialog box with netscape communicator branding and text
    asking me to send information about the crash to netscape ..is this normal?

    Bugs in Firefox [and Mozilla and other moz.org progs] are tracked using the
    Bugzilla database.

    <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/>

    In answer to the OP's question. Yes it's normal

    <QUOTE>
    This is not the place to report bugs about Netscape-branded products.

    When this happened to me, it ended being cause by a hardware failure
    (bad motherboard).
