I have been having this problem of my machine not finding my cd rom nor my
burner until I reboot, then it will find them. I have looked in the Bios to
check the auto locate but I can't find it. Could somebody please help me
    correct this problem.
    Thank you

Check your motherboard manual for the BIOS settings.
Also, check that all drive connections are fitted correctly,
and snugly. Replace any cables, if necessary.
