File View Settings

    How can you set files to be opened (for example in Wordpad) with the
    view "Detailed" and not "List", in such a way, that it's remembered
    the next time ?

    Clicking "Apply to All Folders" doesn't make the setting permanent.

    I'm using Windows XP.
