Friend with XP setting up e-mail for himself, his wife and child...all ok
but doesn't seem to be able to arrange Fast User Switching (Start/Control
Panel/User Accounts/Change the way Users log on and off/Use Fast User
Switching) because his McAfee Security Centre software throws up the note -
"Suspicious script has been detected - the file mshta.exe contains
suspicious scripting activity and has been stopped". So each time he
switches User to wife or vic versa the line is dropped and they need to log
    on-line again each time.
Anyone know anything about this...unsure what mshta.exe is - hope his system
    isn't infected?!
    Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks,
    John

What service pack is installed? Mhta.exe may have been updated.

The system could have an infection of some sort - virus or dialer etc. using
mshta.exe even if it isn't infected itself. What scans have been run?

    mshta.exe - Process Information

    http://www.auditmypc.com/process/mshta.asp

It's considered safe. Set McAfee to exclude it.
