Excel Issue

Discussion in 'MCDST' started by Susan Roche, MCP, Jan 21, 2007.

  1. On occassion when working in Excel, I will want to hi-light a group of
cells. After doing so, and deselecting my area, when I try to click in
another cell the cursor gets hung up in hi-light mode causing me not to be
able to do any additional work. Where ever I drag the cursor everything get
hi-lighted. The only resolution I've found is to shut down the application.
    Any other suggestions?

Does it do this in Safe Mode?

  3. Never tried it in safe mode. At times, the cursor seems to anchor itself in
one cell causing you to hi-light everything as you go. I'm not able to edit
my spreadsheet in any way when that happens.

Depending on the version of Excel you're running...

go to >Help > then click on Detect and Repair...
