Any one looking at completing 70-624 - Deploying and Maintaining Windows
Vista Client and 2007 Microsoft Office System Desktops?

The is not much info around about this exam. No books from MS or Amazon.

    Suggestions?

I looked at it briefly, but it doesn't look like it has very wide
    appeal.

You can find a lot of reference material here:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/desktopdeployment/default.aspx

The Number of Microsoft Certified Professionals Worldwide site shows
how many people have achieved different Microsoft certifications and
it seems to show that BDD is not mainstream.
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/certified.mspx
    Vista: Over 12,000
    BDD: 1852

I'm not sure if someone told you to get it for employment. Unlike
70-620/622/623, this looks like one of those certifications you should
pursue if your company says that's specifically what they want. If
not, but you're still hungry to learn more about current technology
and you've mastered the Vista MCITP certs, your time would probably be
better spent pursuing some of the Server 2008 certifications.

    Thanks Darril.

You have answered my question. I am working through the reference material
    on the MS site.

Maybe I could write a book since no one else is...

    Cheers, Matt.

You're welcome. And absolutely, you could write a book on the exam.
There are better ways to start, but it's always good to follow your
    passions.

    Good luck.

    I completed this exam yesterday.
The company I work for specialises in OS and application packaging and
    deployment.
This exam is also useful for MS partners as it counts towards the Desktop
Deployment competency. My company asked me to complete the exam for these
reasons, so Darril's right, it's a fairly niche exam, and probably not one
you'd go for if you were starting your certification path or a jobseeker etc.

You could perhaps look at the 74-139 material, then read up on the changes
between the old and the new? I'm not sure if that will help, I was scheduled
for the 74-139, but dropped it in favour of the 624. When I've had to do
exams where there's not much training material around (Exchange 2007, and
currently studying for Server 2008 MCITPs), I've relied upon the Technet
    articles showing best practices etc.
