    What is the difference between a CAT 5, a Cat 5 e, and a Cat 6 Ethernet
    cable?
    Thanks in advance.

You could have easily looked this up yourself:

    Use www.google.com to find out.
    compare cat5 cat5e cat6

Basically to do with frequency / signal losses and rated speeds to
    10/100Mbps 5/5e (also 5e does 1000Mbps) , then 1000Mbps for 6.

5e is simply a tighter spec ver of 5 for performance issues.

6 is a tighter overall spec, covering all connectors, terminations from
    end to end.
