Emergency Repair Disk

    Hi:

    I have been reading up on the ERD. And as far as I can tell, the only
    reason someone needs to regularly update the ERD is to copy the
    current registry files to %systemroot%\Repair\RegBack... which then
    allows you to restore the registry through the Recovery Console (by
    copying those files back into %systemroot%\System32\Config)... is
    that correct?

    The other options on the ERD just copy corrupted (boot/system) files
    from the win2000 CD... which doesn't need an updated ERD.
