    Hi,
Just got the camcorder, and, frankly, not too sharp with this stuff.
But, trying to learn. Using Windows 7

Will be generating a DVD from Camcorder.

Is there any free (or very inexpensive) software that I can
use to copy just a few minutes from a part of this complete DVD,
and make a file of it on my PC ?

Would then generate a small DVD
of this file to give to folks who wouldn't be interested in the whole
    DVD that I originally made.

    Thanks,
    Bob
