DVD Writer - Add New Hardware Wizard in XP

I just swapped my DVD Writer from a Pioneer 107D to a Pioneer A07
(basically identical except the latter is the retail version) and now
XP keeps bringing up the Add New Hardware Wizard each time it boots
(even though the DVD drive is already there and works fine).

I've never had this happen before - the drives usually just plug
straight in without any problems. I do have AnyDVD installed which I
thought might be confusing XP, but I uninstalled this and it didn't
    make any difference.

If I uninstall the DVD Drive from Device Manager and then scan for
hardware changes, XP detects the drive and keeps bringing up the Add
    New Hardware wizard.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this? As I said,
the drive works fine but having this come up every time I start is a
    pain....
