Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of ALEXANDER THE GREAT, GOTHIKA:
SPECIAL EDITION, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, THE HARVEST, LOONEY TUNES:
SPOTLIGHT COLLECTION, VOLUME 2, MARTIN (LIONS GATE RELEASE), THE SHIRLEY
TEMPLE COLLECTION, TYCOON, and UNDERWORLD: UNRATED EXTENDED CUT:

ALEXANDER THE GREAT (reviewed by Mitchell Hattaway, overall score
    65/100):
"Alexander the Great comes up short in its depiction of its subject's
campaigns; history tells us he conquered much of Europe and Asia, but in
this film his journeys seem to cover a stretch of land not much larger
    than Rhode Island."

GOTHIKA: SPECIAL EDITION (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall score 75/100):
"The cover image on the slipcover to the set is a somewhat cheesy
hologram, but I suppose that's fitting for a somewhat cheesy movie."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME (reviewed by Patrick Naugle, overall score 55/100):
"Lead Melissa Sue Anderson (from TV's Little House on the Prairie)
emotes as well as, oh say, a bag of molding avocados. It's possible
I'd rather watch the avocados, though I'd need to see them at a screen
    test first."

THE HARVEST (reviewed by Patrick Naugle, overall score 63/100):
"The Harvest wants to be all things to all moviegoers: a horror film, a
film noir, a thriller, an action movie, a drama, and even a bit of a
comedy. What it ends up as is a mess: The Harvest is sewing a lot of
ideas that are either half-baked or only partially realized."

LOONEY TUNES: SPOTLIGHT COLLECTION, VOLUME 2 (reviewed by Bryan Byun,
    overall score 60/100):
"I'm not sure who it is that Warner is trying to appeal to with this
lazily assembled set, but kids and casual viewers will most likely be
bored with some of the older, more dated entries, while no diehard
Looney Tunes fan would come within shooting distance of this
    collection."

MARTIN (LIONS GATE RELEASE) (reviewed by Patrick Naugle, overall
    score 66/100):
"I understand why people may like Martin. The ideas Romero presents are
interesting, if unfulfilled. Martin, played with horror masked in doe-
eyed innocence by John Amplas, is a vampire. Or is he? Well...I'm not
sure. We never quite know if Martin is really a raging bloodsucker or
just a misunderstood kid who has lost his way in the world."

THE SHIRLEY TEMPLE COLLECTION (reviewed by Bill Treadway, overall
    score 50/100):
"It is disarming to see Temple reciting dialogue that she was far too
young to understand, particularly the line in which she says that as a
Washington prostitute she isn't 'cheap' but an expensive girl! What were
her parents thinking when they signed the contract? Watching these
shorts made me feel so dirty that I took a shower immediately
    afterward."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/shirleytemplecoll.php

TYCOON (reviewed by Bryan Byun, overall score 60/100):
"What should have been Russia's answer to Goodfellas is instead a flat,
unfocused patchwork of crime epic cliches that assumes far too much
familiarity with its subject and offers too little in the way of
historical context to lend much weight to its chaotic jumble of scenes."

UNDERWORLD: UNRATED EXTENDED CUT (reviewed by Michael Stailey, overall
    score 69/100):
"I watched Underworld: Unrated Extended Cut three times -- once for the
film, once for the commentary, and then once again for the film. To my
masochistic amazement, I found it less interesting with each viewing."
