Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of THE BIG LEBOWSKI: COLLECTOR'S
EDITION, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, CREAM: ROYAL ALBERT
HALL 2005, MAD HOT BALLROOM, MYSTERIOUS SKIN, OLIVER!, SIN CITY,
TITANIC: COLLECTOR'S EDITION, TWELFTH NIGHT, and THE WIZARD OF OZ:
    SPECIAL EDITION:

THE BIG LEBOWSKI: COLLECTOR'S EDITION (reviewed by Neal Masri, overall
    score 95/100):
"From a plot standpoint, The Big Lebowski is a gleeful mess. The loose
focus of the movie is a perfect match for the loose focus of The Dude."

CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (reviewed by Bill Gibron, overall
    score 98/100):
" After the initial 'wow' factor has finally fallen away and the
inevitable comparisons to the past have petered out, one is left with a
movie of mystifying wonders, dizzying displays that build one on top of
the other until a kind of enjoyment overload occurs. "

CREAM: ROYAL ALBERT HALL 2005 (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall
    score 90/100):
"Cream was always blessed with a rich, full sound, and that hasn't
    changed a bit."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/cream.php

MAD HOT BALLROOM (reviewed by Bill Gibron, overall score 85/100):
"Usually in a film like this, it's the wayward parents who play the
fool. In Mad Hot Ballroom, it's educated individuals who should really
know better that end up coming across as crass and callow."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/madhotballroom.php

MYSTERIOUS SKIN (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall score 94/100):
"Mysterious Skin takes Araki's style and marries it with a source novel
that suits his voice. He's found something to latch on to, and the film
is searing and heartfelt. He doesn't trade in any of his aesthetics, but
Gregg has grown up enough to make an adult film about coming of age
    under difficult circumstances."

OLIVER! (reviewed by Bill Gibron, overall score 92/100):
"As a filmmaker, Reed avoids glamorizing the world of Oliver Twist,
keeping his 19th Century London big, loud, and tactile. The slums sit
over sewers stagnant with filth, while the streets hum and bustle with
people of various position and import."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/oliver.php

SIN CITY (reviewed by James A. Stewart, overall score 88/100):
"Sin City's a fascinating place to visit on film from the comfortable
distance of your living room, but you wouldn't want to live there. Or
shouldn't. After all, it isn't just the newspapers that are black and
white and red all over in Basin City."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/sincity.php

TITANIC: COLLECTOR'S EDITION (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall
    score 94/100):
"Titanic is memorable and the technical accomplishments in it are
groundbreaking, but of all the nominations, consider that Cameron was
not recognized for work on the screenplay when you marvel in how good or
    bad the film is."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/titanicce.php

TWELFTH NIGHT (reviewed by Amanda DeWees, overall score 90/100):
"Although fans of the play will probably appreciate it more than
Shakespeare neophytes, the only mandatory viewer requirements are a
sense of humor and a willingness to suspend your disbelief."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/twelfthnight.php

THE WIZARD OF OZ: SPECIAL EDITION (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall
    score 100/100):
"You don't feel bad for watching and enjoying every last bit of it. If
it's not the dazzling visuals, it's the memorable score, or the
    fascinating costumes."
