Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of DECOYS, THE DELI, THE FIFTH
MUSKETEER, MEZZO: SHELL ONE, PERFECT OPPOSITES, THE PIT / HELLGATE,
SONGWRITER, and THE STORY OF THE BROOKLYN DODGERS: THE LEGENDARY BOYS
    OF SUMMER:

DECOYS (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall score 74/100):
"Decoys is far more fascinating when trying to find ways to offer the
intended teenage audience some carnal thrills while maintaining a PG-13
rating. With a brief tinge of sorority alien nudity offered right up
front, the rest of the movie employs lovingly-shot scenes of the girls
licking away at ice cream cones and lollipops, kissing each other, and
in once surprisingly depraved case, the camera luridly lingers over one
girl tied up with duct tape."

THE DELI (reviewed by Aaron Bossig, overall score 75/100):
"Like a low-carb hoagie and a diet soda, The Deli is somewhat tasty, but
is missing many of the ingredients that would make it truly enjoyable."

THE FIFTH MUSKETEER (reviewed by Bill Treadway, overall score 76/100):
"To be honest, one could do worse than check out The 5th Musketeer. It
is a robust, energetic entertainment that manages to keep the viewer
involved for most of the running time."

MEZZO: SHELL ONE (reviewed by Mitchell Hattaway, overall score 80/100):
"With its reckless, gun-toting heroine, oddball supporting characters,
over-the-top violence, and paranormal plots, the anime series Mezzo
plays like an episode of The X-Files crossed with a Luc Besson movie,
and I mean that as a compliment."

PERFECT OPPOSITES (reviewed by Amanda DeWees, overall score 73/100):
"The filmmakers seem to think they're telling us something we don't know
when they reveal that men and women are -- believe it or not -- not the
same! They offer this stale insight with all the misguided pride of a
cat presenting its owner with a half-eaten mouse."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/perfectopposites.php

THE PIT / HELLGATE (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 78/100):
"I am hard-pressed to think of anything crazier than these movies, and
I'm including the dream where Natalie from The Facts of Life dressed as
a superhero pursued me through a Motel 6."

SONGWRITER (reviewed by Bill Treadway, overall score 96/100):
"One of the sad phenomena of modern cinema is when popular singers
believe they can act since they conquered music. Examples include
Britney Spears (whose performance in the dreadful Crossroads still gives
me diarrhea to this day) and the countless third-rate rappers who
populate such cinematic turds as Cutthroat Alley and The Playaz Court.
However, that is not the case with Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson,
    the stars of Songwriter."

THE STORY OF THE BROOKLYN DODGERS: THE LEGENDARY BOYS OF SUMMER
(reviewed by Patrick Bromley, overall score 69/100):
"Whether it's the triumph of Jackie Robinson or the heartache of
continuous defeat at the hands of that other New York team (not to
mention the eventual relocation of the club to Los Angeles), the
Brooklyn Dodgers have some great stories to tell. So why is this
    documentary so disappointing?"
