Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of DEMONLOVER, DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS,
FOOTLOOSE: SPECIAL EDITION, HERCULES / HERCULES UNCHAINED, IRON EAGLE
III: ACES, THE MAN WITH ONE RED SHOE, TEQUILA, and THE WINEMAKERS:
    CALIFORNIA LIQUID GOLD:

DEMONLOVER (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 80/100):
    "If you're into dialogue-rich, character-driven French espionage
films featuring a few cartoon demons boinking girls with big eyes, it
    may be for you."

DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS (reviewed by Bill Treadway, overall score 89/100):
"Anthony Perkins is superb as Eben, the sensitive soul trapped within a
sham of a life. Perkins brings not only his trademark nervousness to the
role but also strength and gumption. His performance is sincere and
convincing, managing to win the viewer over in spite of the problematic
    material."

FOOTLOOSE: SPECIAL EDITION (reviewed by Lacey Worrell, overall
    score 85/100):
"What saves Footloose from becoming just another silly teen movie is the
presence of John Lithgow (Terms of Endearment) and Dianne Wiest (The
Birdcage) as Ariel's parents. Their interaction with one another and the
pain they feel at letting go of their wild teenage daughter give the
    production gravity and seriousness."

HERCULES / HERCULES UNCHAINED (reviewed by Neil Dorsett, overall
    score 35/100):
"The dated effects, the dub, the horrible crop, and the ever-increasing
American cultural urge toward gay stereotyping all contribute to the old
Hercules series's cultural irrelevance. Add to that the fact that the
movies were just kinda stiff and stilted in the first place, and you've
got a research project, not a pair of movies meant to appeal at gut
    level today."

IRON EAGLE III: ACES (reviewed by Maurice Cobbs, overall score 47/100):
"This third entry in the Iron Eagle series features Louis Gossett, Jr.
(An Officer and a Gentleman) as Chappy Sinclair, a crackerjack fighter
pilot and Air Force colonel battling evil super-intelligent shape-
shifting Nazi terrorist chimpanzees from Uranus bent on destroying the
universe for their own financial gain...okay, I made that up. Still, you
gotta admit, that would have been one hell of a movie, huh?"

THE MAN WITH ONE RED SHOE (reviewed by Neil Dorsett, overall
    score 83/100):
"The Man with One Red Shoe is an unusual movie in that it's often quite
witty but rarely very funny. Rather than producing belly laughs, the
film settles for a sort of continuous low chuckle."

TEQUILA (reviewed by Dennis Prince, overall score 77/100):
"It's a story that will keep your attention somewhat, not necessarily
because it has any real quality of freshness but, rather, because it
plays like something of a 'peep show' -- almost like a traffic accident
that compels you to stop and look; to eavesdrop on the ruination of
other people's lives (y'know, the sort of thing that has made Oprah,
Montel, and Ricky so perversely popular on the daytime talk-show
    circuit)."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/tequila.php

THE WINEMAKERS: CALIFORNIA LIQUID GOLD (reviewed by Eric Profancik,
    overall score 70/100):
"Go out and buy a nice bottle of wine instead of this disc. You'll get
    far more satisfaction."
