Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of ASHTANGA, NY: A YOGA DOCUMENTARY,
THE DECEIVERS, INSPIRACION, THE LAND BEFORE TIME XI: INVASION OF THE
TINYSAURUSES, THE MANSION OF MADNESS, OH GOD! YOU DEVIL, SCOURGE OF
WORLDS: SPECIAL COLLECTOR'S EDITION, SHADOW OF FEAR, and STEVE HACKETT:
    ONCE ABOVE A TIME:

ASHTANGA, NY: A YOGA DOCUMENTARY (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall
    score 70/100):
"Being an outsider to it all, a certain derogatory term kept drifting
into my mind: cult. The steadfast devotion of these people to Ashtanga,
to Guruji, and to the philosophy borders on religious devotion or even
cult-like behavior. I was uncomfortable watching the disc because of
this vibe. I clearly know that this is not a cult or anything close to
resembling one, yet this film was unfortunately edited to give the
    casual viewer that impression."

THE DECEIVERS (reviewed by Mitchell Hattaway, overall score 60/100):
"Whenever I saw Pierce Brosnan covered in brown dye, I couldn't convince
myself that I was seeing anything other than Pierce Brosnan covered in
brown dye, so I was constantly wondering how the other characters were
so ready to accept him as a member of the native population."

INSPIRACION (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall score 24/100):
"We had to leave it to Mexican cinema, but, finally, macho misogynists
with a hankering for romantic comedy have their breakthrough movie in
    Inspiracion."

THE LAND BEFORE TIME XI: INVASION OF THE TINYSAURUSES (reviewed by Bryan
    Pope, overall score 70/100):
    "I'm a 32-year-old guy, which means I don't fall within this film's
target audience. So, in the interest of a fair review, I recruited my
four-year-old critic-in-training, Benjamin, to share his thoughts on
Invasion of the Tinysauruses. (Note: Because Ben's brevity doesn't lend
itself to a comprehensive review, I have taken the liberty to expound on
    his thoughts.)"

THE MANSION OF MADNESS (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score
    74/100):
"This is most likely a work of art born of prolonged exposure to nail
    polish remover."

OH GOD! YOU DEVIL (reviewed by Patrick Naugle, overall score 76/100):
"If God really visited earth, I'm not sure He'd be quite so whimsical
and cuddly as George Burns (I'd like to think he'd give Michael Jackson
a good hard slap and then straighten out this whole Iraq mess), but it's
nice to think He may look and act like the late actor."

SCOURGE OF WORLDS: SPECIAL COLLECTOR'S EDITION (reviewed by Joel Pearce,
    overall score 78/100):
"As a nerdy guy in my 20s, I have fond memories of the Choose Your Own
Adventure series of books. I was a cheater in nature, flipping through
multiple options until I ran out of fingers to put in the pages and was
forced to buckle down and make a decision."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/scourgeworldsce.php

SHADOW OF FEAR (reviewed by Mitchell Hattaway, overall score 59/100):
"Shadow of Fear is another illogical thriller populated by poorly
developed characters who spout ludicrous dialogue while caught up in
ridiculous situations. My dog could write a better film, and my dog's
dumber than a bag rocks (trust me -- you should see what he's doing
    right now)."

STEVE HACKETT: ONCE ABOVE A TIME (reviewed by Steve Evans, overall
    score 60/100):
"If penning pretentious songs and performing them with the elan of a
busted chainsaw were a capital offense, there would be no need for this
review. I would be absorbed in a good film, and the people responsible
for this DVD would be chilling on death row. "
