Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of AMERICAN DREAMER, BABY FOR SALE,
EDGEPLAY: A FILM ABOUT THE RUNAWAYS, GRACIE'S CHOICE, JULIA FORDHAM:
THAT'S LIVE, NFL FILMS: THE OAKLAND RAIDERS: THE COMPLETE HISTORY, THE
OLIVE THOMAS COLLECTION, RETURN TO PEYTON PLACE, THE RUTLES 2: CAN'T BUY
ME LUNCH, and STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE, SEASON ONE:

AMERICAN DREAMER (reviewed by Amanda DeWees, overall score 81/100):
"Like Alan, we are swept along in Cathy/Rebecca's wake without fully
comprehending what she thinks she's doing. It's impossible for us to
follow what passes for her thought processes, and although we aren't
meant to, it does make it harder to invest in the madcap chases,
clandestine meetings, murder attempts, and so on."

BABY FOR SALE (reviewed by Maurice Cobbs, overall score 82/100):
"Babies are universally hideous. People always coo over them and talk in
absurd nonsensical sentence fragments, but it's all really just to
disguise the swell of horror that the average person feels when
confronted with one of these terrifying drool machines."

EDGEPLAY: A FILM ABOUT THE RUNAWAYS (reviewed by Bill Gibron, overall
    score 92/100):
"For a group groomed to succeed, their triumph was short lived and
wholly centralized (to Europe and Asia, mostly). Instead of breaking
through that gratuitous glass ceiling, this five-girl combo barely got
off the launching pad before egos and excess literally tore them apart."

GRACIE'S CHOICE (reviewed by Lacey Worrell, overall score 85/100):
"Anne Heche was deservedly nominated for an Emmy for her painfully
accurate portrayal of the strung-out Rowena; this woman does 'crazy'
    very well."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/gracieschoice.php

JULIA FORDHAM: THAT'S LIVE (reviewed by Russell Engebretson, overall
    score 85/100):
"Fortunately her passionate vocals overcome much of the banal
versifying. When she sings fine lyrics, like those she wrote for
'Roadside Angel' (dedicated to Minnie Riperton, who died of
breast cancer at the age of 32 and was one of Fordham's early
    idols), she soars."

NFL FILMS: THE OAKLAND RAIDERS: THE COMPLETE HISTORY (reviewed by Lacey
    Worrell, overall score 90/100):
"Just listening to the commentators call the games will bring back a
flood of nostalgia for the more innocent days of football, before
professional sports appeared to consist, as they do today, of inflated
contracts, rampant product endorsement, and appalling behavior."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/raidershistory.php

THE OLIVE THOMAS COLLECTION (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall
    score 92/100):
"Who is Olive Thomas? This popular star of the Ziegfeld Follies, and
screen rival to Mary Pickford, is nearly forgotten today. However, her
story says much about the formative years of American mass
    entertainment."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/olivethomascoll.php

RETURN TO PEYTON PLACE (reviewed by Lacey Worrell, overall score
    90/100):
"Overall, one cannot help comparing Return to Peyton Place to its
predecessor. And like many sequels, it falls far short."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/returntopeytonplace.php

THE RUTLES 2: CAN'T BUY ME LUNCH (reviewed by Dennis Prince, overall
    score 79/100):
"It's all such juicy material, the sort that makes parody so wonderful,
especially when it comes at the expense of other people. But if the
intent here was for Eric Idle to actually parody his own parody, well
then it's all just a bit stupid, isn't it? Indeed, The Rutles 2: Can't
Buy Me Lunch becomes rather tiresome in the way that it retreads the
material already explored in the first show, the way it replays the
songs we've already heard from the first show, and how its title takes
just as long to type as the first show."

STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE, SEASON ONE (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall
    score 80/100):
"How do you go from 13 million viewers to fewer than 3 million viewers
in the blink of an eye? How to you reduce a once-powerful franchise to a
sputtering shadow of its former glory? You fail to boldly go where no
    man has gone before."
