Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of ADRENALINE COWBOYS: 8 SECONDS TO
GLORY, BATTLEFIELD BASEBALL, CRUSADE: THE LIFE OF BILLY GRAHAM, FIDEL
CASTRO, LAST MAN STANDING: POLITICS, TEXAS STYLE, MOWGLI'S BROTHERS / A
VERY MERRY CRICKET, OFF DA HOOK KIDZ, PRIMER, RIDING THE BULLET, SAY
GOODBYE TO BACK PAIN, and THE YES MEN:

ADRENALINE COWBOYS: 8 SECONDS TO GLORY (reviewed by David Johnson,
    overall score 80/100):
"What struck me watching the film is this: No matter what, once you get
on that bull, you will be savagely dislodged from the saddle. Even if
you make the eight-second limit, dismounting is still jumping off a
raging bull and landing in the dirt. Seriously, does it get any manlier
(read: nuts) than trying to stay on top of a bucking bull with giant spleen-
    piercing horns?"

BATTLEFIELD BASEBALL (reviewed by Mac McEntire, overall score 75/100):
"Do you wish that some maverick filmmaker would come along and toss all
the usual conventions aside and create something so trashy and stupid
and pointless that it flies in the face of convention? If so, then you
might just be up for nine innings of Battlefield Baseball."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/battlefieldbaseball.php

CRUSADE: THE LIFE OF BILLY GRAHAM (reviewed by David Johnson, overall
    score 85/100):
"This robust documentary traces Graham's life from his humble beginnings
to his intersection with the big tent revivals that swept through the
South, to his dramatic dedication to God's service, and finally to his
rise to worldwide fame as the de facto face of evangelical
    Christianity."

FIDEL CASTRO (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall score 82/100):
"Being an American documentary, Fidel Castro takes the inevitable stance
that the majority of Cuba's social, political, and economic problems
stemmed -- either directly or indirectly -- from Cuba's consistent bird-
flipping towards the United States in order to gain favor throughout the
    revolutionary world."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/fidelcastro.php

LAST MAN STANDING: POLITICS, TEXAS STYLE (reviewed by Maurice Cobbs,
    overall score 88/100):
"What Stekler has done here is picked a compelling race between two
distinct personalities and let the chips fall where they may. There's no
agenda or ulterior motive. Which probably explains why this documentary
isn't as well-known as it ought to be -- as Little Orphan Annie once
sagely noted, 'People prefer fireworks to facts.' "

MOWGLI'S BROTHERS / A VERY MERRY CRICKET (reviewed by Dennis Prince,
    overall score 85/100):
"In the mid- to later-'70s, Chuck Jones took to animating various
Rudyard Kipling works. In this particular 1976 animated adventure, the
material is more serious than Jones's usual fare, and he does well
    animating such life-lesson fables."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/mowglicricket.php

OFF DA HOOK KIDZ (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 85/100):
"With the kids themselves shouldering the teaching duties, combined with
a clean and catchy -- if obscure -- song, and a bright and nifty set
design, the end product is an active and innovative riff on the kids'
workout genre. Your pop-star-wannabe rugrats should really get a kick
    out of this."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/offdahookkidz.php

PRIMER (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall score 85/100):
"I have had some negative things to say about Primer, but the bottom
line is that the technical detractions should not let you miss a
    fascinating, fresh, and innovative film."

RIDING THE BULLET (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall score 85/100):
"Riding the Bullet not only tells a good tale, but it also faithfully
translates the quirks of King's writing to the big screen. That is
something I haven't seen in any of his other films."

SAY GOODBYE TO BACK PAIN (reviewed by David Johnson, overall
    score 80/100):
"Frankly, it seemed a bit too holistic for my red-meat-eating, pop-a-pill-or-
two medical worldview, but what do I know? My back pain treatment
consists of sprawling on the living room rug, face down, and having my
    wife walk on my spine."

THE YES MEN (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall score 73/100):
"Really, the film is little more a documentary on how exactly to fake
one's identity and get away with lecturing at boring and dull
conferences on agribusiness and economic growth. Does anyone actually
want to spend time doing something like that?"
