Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of THE ALAN CLARKE COLLECTION, BABYLON

LOVES RAYMOND: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON, FUTURAMA: VOLUME FOUR, MR.
SHOW: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON, NIGHT GALLERY: THE COMPLETE FIRST
SEASON, SANFORD AND SON: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE:

WITH CANDY: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON, and UNSOLVED MYSTERIES: UFOS:

THE ALAN CLARKE COLLECTION (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall
    score 91/100):
"I have the sinking feeling that many people are going to pass up this
fantastic box set simply because Alan Clarke is not as well-known on
this side of the Atlantic. That's a definite shame, since his work
definitely deservers a wider audience. Scum is unrelentingly brutal, a
varied and detailed study of a crumbling social system that could not be
more highly recommended, but Clarke's later films are not to be missed
either. Blue Underground has definitely done the director a great
    service with this engaging retrospective."

BABYLON 5: THE MOVIE COLLECTION (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall
    score 87/100):
"In the Beginning is one of the better of the TNT telefilms, and a solid
commentary by Straczynski and director Mike Vejar gets the job done. But
how many times is Straczynski going to tell us the joke about Vejar
making everyone on the set work 'Vejar'der and Vejar'der'?"

EVERWOOD: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall
    score 89/100):
"Everwood is emotionally true, manipulative, and addictive all at the
    same time. "

EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by Sandra
    Dozier, overall score 95/100):
"Even the formula humor never gets tired: It doesn't matter how many
times they do a scene where the family breezes through, eating their
food, throwing away 'questionable' items (which are actually fresh),
dispensing advice about child rearing, waking their children up from a
sound sleep, and generally leaving a trail of destruction behind them --
    it's always funny."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/raymondseason1.php

FUTURAMA: VOLUME FOUR (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall score
    95/100):
"When Fox graced us with episodes, it was one my favorite shows. It was
a perfect way to start a Sunday evening, bolstering me for another week
at work. The suits never got it, never understood it, and they robbed us
    of a great pleasure."

MR. SHOW: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON (reviewed by Patrick Bromley,
    overall score 97/100):
"It goes back to something the late, great Gene Siskel used to
proselytize -- that the two things that you cannot convince another
person of are what is Sexy and what is Funny. Either you're on board
with what Mr. Show has to offer, or you're left cold by it; it's comedy
    with no middle ground."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/mrshowseason4.php

NIGHT GALLERY: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by Bill Gibron,
    overall score 78/100):
"Never quite achieving the classic status it so desperately strives for,
Night Gallery is a tired take on horror, with only a few glimmers of
gold within its Gothic game plan."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/nightgalleryseason1.php

SANFORD AND SON: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON (reviewed by Dennis Prince,
    overall score 72/100):
"You won't find any adherence to today's stifling levels of political
correctness, but you likely won't feel assaulted by the ramblings of
    Redd Foxx's junkyard codger."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/sanfordandsonseason5.php

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: THE BEST OF CHRISTOPHER WALKEN (reviewed by Adam
    Arseneau, overall score 42/100):
"If you had given me all the episodes of 'The Continental,' and a
montage of all the impressions that people have done of Christopher
Walken on SNL, I could have died a happy man. As it is, this DVD still
makes me want to die...just not happily."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/snlwalken.php

STINGRAY: THE COMPLETE SERIES (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall
    score 92/100):
"Okay, stay with me on this one. It's about puppets. Puppets. In
submarines. I mean, who needs drugs? Just watch any episode."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/stingray.php

STRANGERS WITH CANDY: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON (reviewed by David
    Johnson, overall score 88/100):
"Sure, I find the writing uneven; but the hits far outweigh the
misses. When coupled with memorable characters and absolutely zero
respect for anything (there is no 'taboo' in the universe of Flatpoint
High), the result is an envelope-balling-up-and-lighting-on-fire
    parody of high school."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/strangerswithcandyseason3.php

UNSOLVED MYSTERIES: UFOS (reviewed by David Ryan, overall score 93/100):
"For the most part, these are the stories of average, well-adjusted
people who sincerely believe that they experienced something which
defies explanation. Whether they factually did have those experiences or
not may be in doubt -- but they definitely think they did. Which makes
their stories, presented frankly and directly by Unsolved Mysteries, all
    the more compelling."
